No. dhoop is an AI, and she says so in her first message. Her cafe is part of her story.
What does Vedic or sidereal astrology mean?
Vedic astrology (Jyotish) uses the sidereal zodiac, which follows where the stars actually sit. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, which follows the seasons. The two are about 24 degrees apart, so your Vedic sun sign is often one sign earlier. dhoop works with the Vedic method, including your moon sign (rashi) and birth star (nakshatra).
Does astrology predict my future?
Astrology isn't proven science. dhoop uses it as a lens for thinking about yourself, and she makes no promises with it. She won't tell you what will happen and she won't decide for you. She gives you options and one small thing to try.
What if my chart looks bad?
There is no bad chart. A chart is a reference, not a verdict. dhoop doesn't hand out scary verdicts. Hard things come gently, in words you can actually use, with one small thing to try. She won't ask you to buy anything because of your chart.
Can she replace a doctor or a counsellor?
No. dhoop isn't a doctor or a therapist. If you're worried about your health or mental health, she's warm about it and points you to a doctor or a counsellor.

What happens to my data?
For the waitlist we save your nickname, your email or phone, your date of birth (to check you're 18 or over), and your survey answers. Sharing your chat logs is a separate, optional choice. If you're under 18, we save nothing. The privacy notice has the full detail.
